1. Scope of Coaching
Coaching is a partnership focused on your personal and/or professional development. Together, we will define and adjust the focus areas, goals, and pace of our work as your needs evolve throughout our sessions.
Our agreement is for:
1 onboarding session of 90 mins (online-with or without video)
12 coaching sessions of 60 minutes each (online-with or without video) with the possibility of extending our work together by mutual agreement.
Timeframe: Sessions will be held every two weeks over 6 months. This pacing allows for reflection and steady momentum toward your goals (please see also section 4. Scheduling & Cancellations)
Starting date:
Fee: £2400 for 6 months if paid in full or £850 per month for 3 months (total £2,550).
What’s Included in the 12-Session Coaching Package:
- Email support between sessions for brief questions, sharing updates, or encouragement; replies within 1–2 business days
- Tailored resources, exercises, or reflective prompts relevant to your needs and progress (when appropriate)
This structure is designed to provide ongoing support and flexibility as you navigate your coaching journey.
2. Responsibilities
Coach: Will adhere to the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics at all times, maintaining high standards for professional conduct, confidentiality, and client welfare. A copy of the ICF Code of Ethics is attached; please feel free to ask at any time if you have questions about these ethical standards.
Client: Is responsible for their own decisions, actions, and follow-through, and agrees that coaching is not therapy or medical/financial advice.
3. Confidentiality, Data Protection, & Consent
All our coaching conversations and your personal information are confidential. Nothing you share will be disclosed to others without your written consent except if required by law, a valid court order, or if there is imminent/likely risk of harm to yourself or others, or illegal activity.
Your data (contact and session dates) are only retained as long as needed for administrative or ICF credentialing requirements (usually 2 years); you may request deletion or to see your information at any time.
Record Keeping:
To support our coaching process, I keep brief written notes (such as session dates, goals, and key topics) during our work together. These notes are stored securely, will never be shared without your consent, and are deleted after two years or upon your request after our coaching concludes.
ICF Verification:
As a coach working toward ICF accreditation, I may be required to confirm (only) your name, contact details (email address or phone number), and our session dates with ICF staff, never any notes or session content. By signing or verbal confirmation, you agree to this limited disclosure (or you may opt out below).
Session Recordings:
Occasionally, I may request your explicit consent to audio record a session for my own learning, supervision, or accreditation purposes. This will never be done or shared without your prior written or verbal approval, and you can decline at any time.
Supervision/Mentoring:
As part of my professional development, I may discuss coaching topics (never personal details or your identity) anonymously with my supervisors or mentors. Any sharing is solely for learning and always anonymous.
4. Scheduling & Cancellations
Scheduling: Sessions are by mutual agreement, ideally every 2 weeks, but no less frequently than once every 3 weeks. This allows enough time between sessions for reflection and meaningful progress, while maintaining consistent momentum toward your goals. Biweekly pacing encourages the integration of insights into daily life and ensures that challenges or achievements can be addressed in a timely manner.
Cancellations: We both commit to timely communication; if rescheduling is needed, we each aim to give at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. If a session is cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, we’ll do our best to reschedule within the overall timeframe of the engagement. If repeated late cancellations prevent us from progressing, we may need to discuss how to proceed so we both meet our commitments.
5. Payment terms
I will send an invoice by email after I receive this Coaching Business Terms and you let me know how you wish to pay. Please send payment to the details below within 14 days of the invoice being received. If my fees are going to change at any point in our relationship I will give 4 weeks’ notice as a minimum to enable you to make a decision about whether you wish to continue.
6. Termination & Flexibility
Either party may pause or discontinue the agreement at any time.
The package covers 12 sessions. If you choose to end the coaching early, no refund will be issued. Unused sessions may be transferred to a future date within three months of the original programme end date. A 14 day cooling off period applies from the date of first payment, during which a full refund will be issued if you choose not to proceed.
7. Other Terms
Coaching does not treat mental disorders and is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment and cannot be used in place of any form of therapy.
Feelings are a normal and healthy part of being human and through a coaching relationship, awareness and curiosity will be brought to the relationship so that the client can make more informed choices and move into their desired action.
Both parties commit to open communication, addressing any concerns directly. Both parties also agree to respect each other’s boundaries at all times, including those around time, communication, and personal comfort. Open, honest communication about what supports your growth is encouraged throughout our engagement. If a dispute arises, we agree to work toward a solution in good faith and, if necessary, consider mediation before any legal action.
Signatures (optional; a verbal or written agreement by email is sufficient)
